It’s just like I remembered it…

Earlier this week, I was out biking for the first time this season. Most of the maintenance I'd done on my bike held. I'm not entirely out of shape either: I made it to the other bridge in about 10 minutes. This bodes well for biking to work.

As usual, the roads are packed with people who don't know how to drive, or deal with cyclists. Sometimes both. I had a van barrelling down a hill at me, a guy on a cell phone nearly run me over, and a ton of 'nervous passers' who can't seem to realize that holding their vehicle 10cm across the yellow line while they s...l...o...w...l...y move past me is not a good idea.

Halifax is a hard city to bike on. You've got hills, hostile cars, bad streets, no bike lanes. All of these contribute to unhappy cyclists. If we're a bit brash, please forgive us. Our bad moods are most likely caused by a failure to be listened to in the chambers of the Halifax council. You should redirect *your* frustration there too.
